Highlights of TS PGECET 2020 Result

TS PGECET Cut Off 2020

NEET Result 2020 (Declared)

NEET result 2020 has been announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on October 16. The result for NEET 2020 is uploaded on the official website of NTA. To download the NEET 2020 result, candidates have to log in to their registered accounts on the official website.
Candidates must note that the result of NEET 2020 will not be sent by post under any circumstances. The announcement of NEET result 2020 was accompanied by the release of the final answer key. NTA does not entertain any requests for the re-evaluation of the answer sheet post the declaration of NEET 2020 result. The role of NTA is limited to the release of NEET result 2020 and preparation of the merit list. NEET Result 2020 and the Merit List
National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the merit list of the candidates based on the NEET result 2020. Multiple lists are released based on the category of the candidate. An overall NEET merit list is also released which has details of all the candidates who have cleared the examination. The merit lists of NEET are then shared by the NTA with the different bodies responsible for the counselling process. Based on these lists, MCC and various counselling authorities will prepare their seat allotment lists. .
Types of Merit Lists .
Overall merit list: This merit list includes the names and ranks of all the candidates who have appeared for NEET 2020. This is the first merit list and is prepared by NTA. This merit list will be forwarded to all counselling bodies, both national and state.
15% AIQ merit list: This merit list will contain the names of only those candidates who have qualified in NEET 2020 result. This merit list is prepared by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
State quota merit list: Every state will prepare their individual merit lists for admissions to the 85% state quota seats. These merit lists will include only those candidates who qualify NEET result 2020 and register for the counselling of that respective state.
NEET Scorecard 2020
Candidates who qualify the examination can download the scorecard of NEET 2020 online. However, those who do not score above the qualifying cutoff marks/percentile will not be issued the NEET scorecard 2020. Candidate will require the NEET 2020 scorecard during the counselling process, thus, they are advised to keep it safe till the admission process is over.

NEET Result 2020: Tie-breaking Protocol
What happens when two or more candidates secure the same marks in NEET 2020 Result? Owing to a large number of test-takers, it is not rare for two or more candidates to secure the same marks in this examination. However, such candidates cannot share the same rank in NEET 2020 merit list. Hence, NTA has a tie-break mechanism in place for such situations. The following parameters are considered in case of a tie in scores:
- Candidate with higher marks in Biology is assigned a higher rank compared to others
- If the marks scored in the Biology section are equal, a candidate with higher marks in Chemistry is assigned a higher rank compared to others
- If marks scored in Biology and Chemistry are equal, a candidate with a lesser number of incorrect answers is assigned a higher rank
- Lastly, if everything else is equal, the candidate older in age will be assigned a higher rank compared to others

Validity of NEET Result 2020
The validity of NEET 2020 result depends on where the candidate wants to apply. Candidates who wish to pursue MBBS from a foreign University will also have to qualify NEET 2020. The validity depends on the location of the institute one desires to apply for.
NEET result validity for an institute located in India: For aspirants who wish to apply for MBBS courses within India, the NEET result 2020 will be valid for the current academic session only.
NEET result validity for a foreign university: For aspirants who wish to apply for MBBS courses outside India, the NEET result 2020 will be valid for three years.
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) 2020 – Declaration of Result

The NEET (UG) 2020 was conducted throughout the country on 13th September 2020 for 15.97 lacs registered candidates.
However, as per the revised SOP of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare dated 10.10.2020, the Candidates who were either COVID-19 positive or in containment zones (as on 13.09.2020), had to appear the aforesaid exam on a later date, in view of the safety of the other candidates and exam personnel.
In view of the above, the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India had been approached by NTA through I.A No. 100861/2020 in C.A. No. 11230 of 2018 in the matter of “CBSE Vs. T.K. Rangarajan & Ors.” for permission to conduct NEET (UG) 2020 in second part for the COVID-19 affected candidates, who were either COVID-19 positive or were in containment zones (as on 13.09.2020) and approached NTA, as well as for any such candidate who may approach the applicant, 24 hours before the commencement of the examination (with certificates from competent authority regarding their COVID-19 status or being in containment zone at relevant time).
The Hon’ble Apex Court, was pleased to allow NTA to conduct the NEET (UG) 2020 in second part on 14.10.2020 for the candidates who could not appear in NEET (UG) 2020 on 13.09.2020 for the above mentioned candidates.
Accordingly, the exam for aforesaid candidates is going to be conducted on 14.10.2020 (Wednesday) from 2:00-5:00 p.m and the combined Result of NEET (UG) 2020 (held on 13.09.2020 and to be held on 14.10.2020), would be declared on 16.10.2020(Friday).

AP EAMCET 2020 Results (Declared): Check Direct Link to Download Rank Card

AP EAMCET result 2020 has been announced on October 10 by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Kakinada. Education Minister, Adimulapu Suresh has declared the AP EAMCET 2020 results in a press conference. AP EAMCET 2020 rank card will be available on October 14 on the official website. Candidates can download their AP EAMCET result/rank card by entering application number, date of birth and hall ticket number. Candidates will be informed about the result of AP EAMCET 2020 through email and SMS. The rank list is prepared based on the marks secured in the entrance exam.
The total number of candidates registered for engineering stream was 185937 while the number of candidates appeared for the engineering stream were 156953. The pass percentage for engineering is 84.78%. The number of candidates registered for Agriculture stream was over 75,000 while the number of candidates qualified for agriculture stream was 69,000. The pass percentage for agriculture is 91.77%.

Normalization Process in TS EAMCET 2020
The authorities will adopt the normalization process to rank all of the candidates on a comparative scale. Normalization will be carried out to equalize the difficult and easy papers of TS EAMCET 2020 which the candidates received. The following normalization procedure will be used by the authorities:
GMS + Top Average Global – GMS divided by Top Average Session – SMS
X (Marks Obtained by the applicant – SMS)
SMS refers to (Average + Standard Deviation) of the session in which the applicant belongs to
GMS refers to (Average + Standard Deviation) of all the applicants across all the sessions together
Top Average Session refers to average marks of the top 0.1% of all the candidates in the session in which the applicant belongs to
Top Average Global refers to average marks of the top 0.1% of all the applicants across all of the sessions together.
Inter-se-merit while preparing TS EAMCET Results 2020
In case of more than one student securing the same combined score obtained as mentioned above, the tie shall be resolved to decide the relative ranking by successively considering the following
- The total normalized marks secured in TS EAMCET 2020
- The normalized marks secured in Mathematics
- The normalized marks secured in Physics
- The percentage of aggregate marks secured in the qualifying examination
- If the tie still persists the date of birth of the concerned candidates, the older being given preference over the younger.
The weightage of marks in the case of candidates belonging to the category of Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders will be decided by a committee constituted by the competent authority

The cutoff is the minimum marks that candidates have to secure to be eligible for admission. Candidates who have appeared in TS EAMCET 2020 will be called seat allotment based on TS EAMCET cutoff marks and availability of seats in the particular institute. The qualifying percentage of marks for the TS EAMCET 2020 is 25% of the maximum marks for consideration for ranking.
